Reciprocal Club Awbrey Glen Golf Club By Michelle Van Slack, Director Member Services Just around the Bend A new club in central Oregon with golf access I have been fortunate to do a lot of traveling in my lifetime, but there is something special about Bend, Oregon, that makes my heart sing. It is one of my favorite places on the planet. Nestled in the heart of central Oregon along the Deschutes River, Bend is an outdoor lover's wonderland. But until recently, the WAC had no reciprocal club access in Bend. is month, we have added Awbrey Glen Golf Club to our reciprocal network. e club is located just 10 minutes northwest of downtown Bend. e sprawling property includes an 18-hole championship golf course, which is available to WAC members twice a month. e golf facilities also include a learning center consisting of a five-hole par-3 course, a double-ended driving range, and a practice green. But Awbrey Glen has more than just golf. e Restaurant at Awbrey Glen serves fantastic Northwest cuisine and has an awe-inspiring view of the Cascades. Lucky for WAC members, there is no limit on how often you can dine! In the summertime, the 20-meter pool, children's pool, hot tub, and children's playground are open and available for WAC members. e small fitness center is open year-round if you prefer a quick indoor workout. But with a location this beautiful, I recommend staying outside. Bend offers thousands of miles of hiking, biking and running trails as well as easy access to Mount Bachelor—arguably the best ski mountain in the Northwest—and world-class climbing. Not only that, the people of Bend are some of the nicest you will ever meet. Bend will always have a big place in my heart. If you have been meaning to visit, swing by Awbrey Glen Golf Club.
