My wife, Jennifer, and I recently had the pleasure of attending the WAC's annual Team Member Awards Banquet. is event is one of my favorite Club traditions, as it presents a unique opportunity to visit and share with our team members outside their normal work routines. e event is organized by Vice President Human Resources Wendall Smith. Wendall and her Human Resources team do an incredible job and go to great lengths to make this a special evening for WAC team members. e awards banquet recognizes and celebrates tenure milestones in five-year increments. It's noteworthy that the WAC has almost 50 employees with at least 15 years of service. Our longest-tenured team member, Bill Rawe, started working at the Club in 1957 and will celebrate 58 years of service this June. ese kinds of mile- stones are a true testament to the WAC's ability to attract and retain committed indi- viduals who take great pride in enriching the quality of life of our members. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that our esteemed Team Member of the Year Award went to fan-favorite Carlos Garcia of the Sports Café. Carlos has been with the WAC for almost 19 years and is a beloved fixture on the 8th Floor. Please be sure to congratulate Carlos the next time you dine at the Sports Café. One of the greatest assets of the WAC is our team. A stable workforce means the WAC can deliver consistently high-quality service to its members—the most impor- tant variable in the club industry. We are fortunate that our employee turnover rate is relatively low. In fact, our average employee tenure is an impressive 7.1 years, which far exceeds the standard for the club industry. A very special thank-you to our team members for making the WAC the best city athletic club in America. Thank you, WAC team
