Board our motor coach at the WAC and then head north to the quaint town of La Conner, where lunch and spectacular views await at the Waterfront Café. After lunch, browse the town's eclectic boutiques, galleries, antiques, or the Skagit County Museum ($5 admission not included) before we visit the historic Victorian B.L. Martin home for a tour, champagne and dessert. B.L. Martin was a friend of Mr. Conner, for whom La Conner is named. Finally, we'll head to the colorful fields at Tulip Town and Roozengaarde, the Tulip Festival's pre- mier stops. Bring your camera to capture the vast acres of brilliantly colored fields and millions of tulips in full bloom. Stroll through the endless waves of tulips or stop and chat with the tulip growers. The gar- dens are labeled so you can purchase your favorite bulbs, cut flowers, or potted tulips to bring back home. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is the celebration of spring, and the tulip is the world's peace flower. Come celebrate your inner peace amidst one of nature's grandest and most vibrant palettes. Motor coach, lunch, admissions, and fees included. 9:30 am–5:30 pm; $75; cancel by April 21. Off to the Races! at Emerald Downs Saturday, May 17 Off to the races we go. You'll enjoy all the sights and sounds of race day from a Triple Crown Suite, which will feature private wagering, stunning views of the race track, as well as a full buffet brimming with iced prawns and flank steak.
