"The socials are all about getting to know other members who play the game and having a good time," Athletic Programs Manager Darin Barr says. "Tournament play gets a bit more competitive." The Golf Club strives to build the community of WAC golfers and foster friendships. Annual dues are $25 per person or $40 per couple. A $35 add-on fee per person includes an official handicap card. WAC members can also enjoy the Club's privilege program. This year, members can receive discounts and preferred tee times at three courses in the network. Changes at some of the previous privilege courses caused them to drop from the list. "There have been a lot of management changes that took some courses out of the program," Darin says. "We're exploring options for adding new courses in the future." WAC members looking to improve their game can also connect with WAC Golf Pro Alex Dunlop. He offers lessons downtown and at The Golf Club at Newcastle. Contact Alex at 206.225.4526 or alex@alexdunlopgolf.com.
