POSTSCRIPT Photography and text by Robert Laurent A Night at the Pier: Dinner and The Seattle Great Wheel April 11 & 18 More than 100 WAC members, families and friends came to our two special nights at Pier 57. And, indeed, they were special. Some attendees came all the way from Arizona, and another celebrated his 81st birthday. At water-view tables on the upper level of The Fishermans Restaurant & Bar, many began with themed cocktails, such as the WAC Sunset and WAC Key Wheel, before enjoying a delicious dinner buffet. Then, at dusk, a special light show just for us lit up The Seattle Great Wheel. Aboard the largest observation wheel on the West Coast, the panoramic views extended from city lights across Elliott Bay to the distant mountains. These nights reminded everyone what it was like to feel young, to have fun with family and friends, and to appreciate our beautiful city. 72 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | JUNE / JULY 2013
