Open gym, games, swimming, and snacks for ages 6–12. Reservations required. Email Kelly Parr at kparr@wac.net for more information or to sign up. Polar Bear Swim Saturday, February 28 9–11 am It may be cold outside, but it's nice and warm in the WAC pool! Bring the whole family down to the WAC for our inaugural Polar Bear Swim. You won't freeze at this event, but you will have a great time. There will be snacks, a biggest-splash contest, and even the WACness Monster. We can't wait to see you. Free for all ages. healthy and fun fitness habits. Participants will ride stationary bikes, run on the track, and finish with a swim in Helene Madison Pool. All participants will receive a bib number, water bottle, swim cap, and snack. The event will close with a pool party with the infamous WACness Monster and an awards ceremony. Participants will be awarded a finish medal. The emphasis will be on participation, building self-esteem, and teaching kids their inner strength. C O M I N G T H I S S U M M E R WAC Soccer Interested in playing soccer for the WAC? Starting this summer, the Club's first-ever coed team will participate in the Seattle Parks & Recreation league. The WAC will also be recruiting highly skilled men and women to form competitive men's Kids Indoor Triathlon Training Saturday, March 28, April 4, 11 & 18 12–2 pm During this four-week training camp, junior WAC members who plan to partici- pate in the WAC Kids Indoor Triathlon will get all the information they need. Taught by a WAC personal trainer and swim instructor, this program will teach the mechanics of a triathlon, including safety tips, stretching, how to pace, main- taining a training schedule, keeping a log, and much more. Participants will train in pool first and then practice on bikes and the track for one hour. Most important, this training class will reinforce the impor- tance of being active, staying fit, trying one's hardest, and staying confident. Have fun and meet new friends!
