Join us on Sound Transit's express bus to Tacoma's Museum District, where our visit begins at the Tacoma Art Museum. TAM recently doubled in size and the expansion now includes the light-filled Haub Family Galleries, showcasing art of the American West. Works by Dale Chihuly are another museum highlight. Our second stop is the nearby Hotel Murano and its museum-worthy collection of glass art from around the globe. We'll also enjoy lunch at Bite, Murano's restaurant, before a docent leads us through the hotel, where each floor is dedicated to the works of a different glass artist. Next, we'll stroll through the Bridge of Glass before entering the Museum of Glass. After a tour, we'll watch the hot shop team partner with visiting artist Armelle Bouchet O'Neill. Then spend some extra time in the hot shop or visit the nearby Tacoma campus of the University of Washington. Includes museum admissions and lunch.
