Created by the National Constitution Center, American Spirits lets visitors experience the Prohibition era through a re-created speakeasy, films, photos, and more than a hundred rare arti- facts. The exhibit is making its West Coast debut at the Museum of History & Industry in South Lake Union. It spans from the dawn of the temperance movement through the Roaring Twenties to the unprecedent- ed repeal of a constitutional amend- ment, and it brings the Prohibition story to vivid life. Prior to our docent tour, join us for an optional social at nearby McCormick & Schmick's for heavy hors d'oeuvres and a drink (one hosted). After our 30-minute tour, enjoy MOHAI's other exceptional exhibits on your own. Magician Nate Jester will take the stage at our annual Children's Spring Party. Experience hilarious enter- tainment and magic tricks that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Some lucky attendees will also serve as Nate's assistants for the show and watch up-close as he makes items appear out of thin air. This 45-minute show is perfect for adults and children, so be sure to bring the whole family. Nate will also share some of his magic secrets so you can wow your friends. 11 am; complimentary; cancel by April 13 N E W 82nd Annual Mother Daughter Tea "Color Sensation" Sunday, May 3 Whip out your paintbrush and get ready to burst with creativity at the 82nd Annual Mother Daughter Tea. The Crystal Ballroom will be showered in a rainbow of color as moms, daughters, grandmas, aunts, cousins, and friends of all ages enjoy wonderful and colorful conversa- tion. The stage will be set for memory photos, a spot of tea, a delicious breakfast, and, of course, prizes. We'll get creative with some art of our own as we celebrate one of the WAC's favorite traditions.
