Teamworks MANAGER of the QUARTER › Spring & Summer 2013 Darrick Meneken Darrick has been a strong WAC leader ever since he started in the summer of 2011. He is meticulous, methodical, and dedicated to consistency and coherence. His passion for finding stories with depth and meaning has inspired members and team members alike. "His writing is par excellence," says Fitness Manager Megan Usui. The WAC community often praises Darrick for his writing prowess and dedication to Club news. Megan adds: "He is a true leader and exemplifies each of the WAC values with all that he does. He has a strong vision about how to tell the story of the Club's past, present and future. A problem-solver at heart, he is easy to collaborate and brainstorm with, yet rooted in his principles." Vice President Membership & Marketing Michelle Pinson praises Darrick for his thorough writing and high journalistic standards. "He has raised the quality of our content to an alltime high," Michelle says. "He comes to work every day with the intention of bringing forth an engaging and heartfelt story." She redid the work handbook, implemented new training, improved the stationery in the guest rooms and suites, and is constantly eyeing new carpet and upholstery samples. "She's brought a lot of positive things to the Club," Engineering Administrative Assistant Patty Smith says. Vice President Operations Bill Cohen praises Eva's work ethic. "Eva is very organized," he says. "She has a great eye for detail and is building a strong team and getting great results in a short period of time."
