Since then, they've been best friends on and off the court. When Courtney began enjoying league games with the WAC's women's basketball team, she looked to recruit Krystal. "Courtney invited me to come watch some tournament games, and I knew a lot of the girls on the team already," Krystal says. "I got excited at the idea of playing again and participated in some games. Now I'm a member, so we know how that turned out." Courtney also invited Krystal to attend Jubilee to get a sense of the WAC community and social activities that take place year-round. "I'm excited to get involved in more social events when time allows," Krystal says. "Right now I'm busy with work and coaching a high school basketball team, but I look forward to getting to know more people and taking advantage of some of the networking opportunities here." So far, since she joined the Club in 2011, Krystal has found the WAC's women's basketball team to be like a sisterhood. Courtney agrees: "I have literally met some lifelong friends here."
