New seating areas offer comfort and modern convenience, with builtin charging stations that make small meetings and informal gatherings as plugged-in as they are stylish. Two new chandeliers use LED lights and crystal to deliver striking illumination to the new space. "We really wanted to use light to help create the atmosphere," Vice President Operations Bill Cohen says. The chandeliers and other lighting can be dimmed and configured to set different moods as lobby events demand. The decision to renovate historic 1930 crown molding uncovered during lobby demolition allowed an additional touch of WAC history to be saved. The northwest corner of the lobby—including the Kasota stone walls, crown molding, brass drinking fountain, and etched elevator doors—stands as it did when the Club opened.
