20 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2016 Teamworks APRIL TOBGEY TAMANG LAUNDRY ATTENDANT MAY ERIC WILLIAMSON MASTERS SWIM COACH AND PERSONAL TRAINER Eric came aboard in September 2014 as the WAC Masters Swim Coach, working with the adult swim team. He continues to coach the team four nights a week in the pool and once weekly in the gym. Eric now also works as a WAC personal trainer. His energy and passion are contagious, rubbing off on co-workers and clients alike. "Eric has perfected the balance of expertise and enthusiasm that motivates and inspires," Fitness Programs Manager George Sommerrock says. "He beams with WAC pride inside and outside the Club." Eric says he most enjoys masters swim meets and getting to know new clients. Tobgey is one of the seven hard-working members of the laundry department, which handles more than 1.5 million pieces of linen and uniforms each year. He's a diligent worker who supports his fellow team members without hesitation by covering shifts and working tirelessly during the busiest times of year. His smile and positive energy permeate every aspect of his job. Tobgey's happy attitude is daily fuel for the success of the laundry team. "He is a value to the WAC," Executive Housekeeper Carl Meyer says. "He epitomizes every core value that the Club is built on." JUNE LAURA ROJAS ROOM ATTENDANT TEAM MEMBER OF THE MONTH As the Inn at the WAC's afternoon room attendant, Laura is the sole representative of the housekeeping department during the evening hours. As a result, Laura fills many roles around the Inn. From cleaning rooms to providing turndown service, Laura handles guest requests with aplomb. She demonstrates great work ethic and consistently provides quality service through communication. "I know that Laura has cleaned a room when I see the tissue perfectly pleated into a fan in the guest bathroom or a child's stuffed animal placed on the center pillow of a freshly made bed," Executive Housekeeper Carl Meyer says. "Both are small tasks that leave big impressions."
