Finding strength and community through cancer
The American Cancer Society estimates that nearly 14.5 million Americans
in the U.S. today have previously had cancer. That means almost 5 percent
of the U.S. population are cancer survivors. WAC members Scott Lundberg,
Joy Burgess, and Russell Dawson are among them. They each consider it
a badge of honor. They are grateful to be healthy on the other side
of the illness, thanks in large part to this Club and its community.
