Start in a reverse lunge position with one foot on the step. 2. Push off with both feet, bringing the back leg up into a kick. Stand tall on the box. 3. EXERCISE OF THE MONTH WE'RE CELEBRATING! e WAC has once again been named a 5 Star Platinum Club of America, one of the top national accolades for private clubs. is is the seventh consecutive time the WAC has won, dating to the award's founding in 1997. Previously given once every three years, it is now awarded every other year. Only the top 4 percent of private clubs earn Platinum status. "Awards are wonderful to receive, but it's serving our membership that truly drives us to greatness." e WAC is listed among the top five athletic clubs nationally. WE'RE PLATINUM. AGAIN! FIVE TEAM MEMBERS FROM THE WAC helped the Seattle Old Puget Sound Beach (OPSB) Rugby Football Club take the USA Rugby Club 7s men's championship in Tukwila in August. Seattle beat Old Blue New York in the Emirates Airline Club 7s Championships, claiming its second consecutive and seventh overall national championship. WAC team members were Miles Craigwell, Rocco Mauer, Mike Palefau, Peter Tiberio, and Kevin Swiryn. To get to the final game, OPSB beat the New York Athletic Club and the Belmont Shore team from California. In that last match, Mike Palefau took the MVP title. Rocco Mauer got the most memorable play when he scored with one second on the clock. e final score was 29–26. In Rugby 7s, seven players make up the team—instead of 15— in shorter matches than in standard rugby. All the OPSB players are contenders for the 2016 Olympics. Glory goes to rugby stars Want more?
