Letter from the President & CEO Chuck Nelson, President & Chief Executive Officer / cnelson@wac.net W e live in such a beautiful part of the country. e Puget Sound region is visually stunning, moderate in its weather, and bountiful in what it offers up to us as residents. We have so many opportunities to indulge ourselves in outdoor adventures, city activities, and the products and services that our impressive local companies and nature provide. Our economy is among the strongest and fastest- growing in the world, creating a vibrant and alive regional and downtown atmosphere. e Washington Athletic Club is right in the middle of it, literally and figuratively. e Club's location is a direct-center hit of the business, retail, and social activities in this wonderful city, and our membership includes Seattle's most productive and active leaders. e WAC is proud of the contributions our members make in their professional and personal lives—and we're excited that the WAC plays a role in making our region stronger, historically and now more than ever. e Club continues to evolve and grow. ere are new menu items that take advantage of fresh local goods in all three restaurants. e 6th Floor locker room update of all the tiled areas is complete and looks great. We have added some world-class vendors and providers. And to accommodate the "can't slow down" lifestyle, members can now pop in to either the 8th Floor Sports Café or the lobby-level Club Shop for the WAC's new Grab & Go breakfasts and lunches, and those "I'll take care of dinner tonight" dinners. Your club is trying to make it as easy as possible for you, with high quality and convenience. As our memories of summer 2014 fade to dusk, much of our membership has returned to their normal routines. New habits are being established—ones that will last until that beautiful golden sun works its way back north again. Now is the time to follow through on your vow to yourself to get in great shape, eat healthy, and do more things with your friends. e WAC exists to improve your quality of life. e facilities, the programs, and the WAC community of members and staff are here to make your life better. at's what happens at 6th and Union. A rhythm returns
