IN THE KNOW Stuffed Pasta Class at Tom Douglas' Trattoria Cuoco Saturdays, November 1, 8 is hands-on class shows you how to make delectable fresh stuffed pasta, as instructed by Cuoco Chef Matt Fortner and pasta expert Rebecca Wilson. Learn their techniques for making your own pasta as they discuss and explain the many varieties of filled noodles. You'll be taught how to make dough and create pastas such as agnolotti dal plin (pinched, flat- tened dough), cappelletti (little hats) and the quintessential stuffed pasta, ravioli. Class ends at noon and is followed by a lunch of pasta and wine. Aprons and cooking utensils are provided; each class limited to 12. In spite of the Great Depression and the rise of fascism in Europe during this time, Hollywood's newest genre of film—screw- ball comedy— took hold. e rest, as they say, is history. We are honored to wel- come back UW Professor Emeritus of History Jon Bridgman, renowned by shopping and lunch on your own. en you can smell chestnuts roasting on an open fire, go on a holiday sleigh ride, or see carolers strolling through the streets before watching as the entire town is illuminated in one fell swoop at dusk. Pickup locations are Southcenter and Shoreline. Buses are not WAC exclusive and there will be no WAC escort. Arrival in Leavenworth is approximately 11 am. Departure is at 5:30 pm. One of our favorite holiday traditions is right around the corner. It's time for GingerMania! Reserve now for this candy-licious, hands- on workshop for elves of all ages. e day includes a pre-constructed gingerbread house with an abundance of candy for trim- ming, a large pastry bag of royal icing, and a box to transport your creation home. Snack on delicious treats and savor the scents and sounds of the season. Members may reserve a maximum of four houses and a maximum of six people. Reserve early! 1–3 pm; $60 per house; Cancel by November 5 84th Annual Halloween Spooktacular Sunday, October 26 More Halloween fun than you will know how to handle! at's right, the 84th Annual Halloween Spooktacular is going to be rocking this year. Join the party as Recess Monkey takes the stage performing hits that will rock for both kids and parents. While their indie-rock tunes play throughout the Crystal Ballroom, try your hand at fun activities and games, including wax hands. Delightful Halloween munchies and treats will be served.
