I trust your holidays were filled with great food, family and friends. And I am certain some new year's resolutions were made. We are all taking a deep breath after the holidays and gearing up for an exciting 2014. Although every new year gives us a reason to start something new, we also have that opportunity each day. We have the benefit of being part of a club where our members do inspiring things every day. Some have served our country. Others are saving lives by trying to find a cure for cancer. Some protect us from the bad guys, and some work to improve the lives of the less fortunate. Very few of us need a turn of a calendar to decide to do something new. We are mostly self-starters looking to make a difference in the world. We are members of a club where our goals can be supported—whether they are to improve our fitness level, personal engagement, or professional networking. If we take a moment to say hello we just might find ourselves with a new business acquaintance or friend. About six months ago I helped connect Marta Rabins of Ponte Travels with WAC Vice President Club Programs Melissa Borders. Their meeting inspired the Bali & Island Cruise—an intimate sailing adventure for our members. On June 6–20, I plan to embark on that trip with other WAC members. I hope you'll be one of them. This trip and countless opportunities around the Club connect members and create possibilities. For me, this is a chance to travel to a new part of the world, meet fellow members, and have a grand adventure. I know this much, the people who go with us will help define the experience. So now that the calendar has turned to a new year, what has you looking forward? Whatever your goal, the WAC is here to support you. If I have my way, we'll spread the news while flying the Club flag around Bali. Best,
