Well, Charlie Williams, known to many as ���Noiseguy,��� will bring his amplified show to the WAC for the annual Children���s Spring Party. Charlie uses vocal sounds, imitations, and high energy to animate his hilarious and spellbinding kids comedy show. What exactly what does he do? Well, he doesn���t just say the words crash, boom or growl. When he���s telling a story, he imitates sound the entire way. He has performed at local schools, libraries, and private events across the country. Reserve early. Show recommended for ages 3���11. 11 am���12 pm; complimentary; cancel by April 15 Cyber Security: protecting Your Kids Tuesday, April 23 In today���s world of social media, emails, text messages, surfing the web, and viral videos, keeping a child safe and secure online presents a significant concern. As a parent, protecting your children from the world of online predators, cyber bullying, and scams can be scary and often daunting. Stefanie Thomas, a victim advocate for the Seattle Police Department���s Internet Crimes Against Children task force, has educated more than 30,000 people in the greater Seattle area concerning online protection. Thomas will spend the evening at the WAC giving details on everything you need to know about online security and the options for keeping your children and yourself safe in a cyber-run world. She���ll also discuss cyber bullying, sexting, the reality of teens as targets, the pitfalls of social networking, and the cautions to take online. Time also will be allotted for questions. N EW rock Climbing at Vertical world Saturday, June 1 An adventure awaits WAC teens. Whether you have zero experience or are an expert climber, Vertical World is ready to get you climbing. Start with some technique lessons on how to conquer the indoor rock wall and then allow an experienced staff member to assist you with a belay. There will be lots of climbing time, climbing games, and a bit of healthy competition on this adventuresome day. The event includes two hours of rock climbing. Ages 12���18. Group will meet at Vertical World in Ballard.
