{ MeMBer to MeMBer } Written by Suzie Schofield | Photography by Barbara kinney shared passions coMe together to at the WaC W WaC { Mike Sotelo } Member since 1995 M ike grew up in East Los Angeles and moved to Seattle in 1985. ���The first time I heard about the WAC, I was a carpenter,��� Mike says. ���I took the tour and made it a goal of mine to become a member.��� Through hard work, Mike would go on to create two businesses in Seattle. He became a member nearly 20 years ago, and the WAC has been a part of his professional and personal lives ever since. ���We hosted a lot of meetings here, and our first company Christmas party was at Torchy���s,��� Mike says. ���[My] sons went to WeeWACs and later had birthday parties here. We really enjoy being part of the community.��� Mike has always been active in service organizations. He retired in 2010 and now spends even more time volunteering in the community. He���s the president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce���another connection he has with Omar, who serves on the group���s board of directors.
