Springtime also marks the blossoming of the state���s most breathtaking golf courses. With fairways that wind through natural terrain and acres of well-groomed greens, Puget Sound becomes a golfer���s paradise. The WAC offers a unique privilege program for members to receive exclusive packages and play premier courses in the area. The program, started in 1993, has flourished since its inception 20 years ago. Each year, the courses change and new deals are offered. Benefits of the privilege program include discounted 24 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | APRIL 2013 greens fees, ranging from 5 percent to 20 percent, and access to preferred tee times. Athletic Programs Manager Darin Barr says the privilege program also provides members with a guide and insights about the courses. ���We recommend the courses we have gotten to know well,��� Darin says. ���These are all places that provide extraordinary service.��� Darin, who has played extensively around the state, has overseen the program for the past 12 years. Each year, he makes sure some of the best local courses are on the list. Last year, the WAC added seven courses to its privilege network. Each
