Man of La Mancha at The 5th Avenue October 7–30 One of the most epic and enduring musicals of all time, Man of La Mancha is a glorious affirmation of the resilient human spirit. A play-within-a-play inspired by Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, Man of La Mancha tells the story of the "mad" knight Don Quixote as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. Quixote is—against all odds—a man who sees good and innocence in a world filled with darkness and despair. Featuring stirring classic songs, including "The Impossible Dream," this Tony Award–winning theatrical masterpiece blurs the line between dream and reality in a powerful celebration of the imagination.
