Chittenden (or Ballard) Locks are one of the busiest in the country, so it's vital to keep them in good working order. Enter the Army Corps of Engineers, which is tasked with the locks' annual maintenance when they are drained, inspected, repaired, cleaned and painted. Join us for an adventure that will take you 55 feet to the bottom of the chamber of the drained large lock.
