CELEBRATING THE WAC'S 84th YEAR WRITTEN BY MELISSA BORDERS, VICE PRESIDENT CLUB PROGRAMS PHOTOGRAPHY BY JOHN BANG AND ANNA DE LA PAZ T he Club was all dressed up this past December as members and guests arrived to celebrate the WAC's largest event of the year—Jubilee. Red Hot Jubilee came to life with attendees wearing the color of the night and entertainers adding spice throughout the party. The celebration began with President & CEO Chuck Nelson and Chairwoman of the Board Marilyn Boss welcoming some 700 partygoers and raising a toast to the WAC's 84th year. From the decor to the food, the music to the dancing, the gambling to the roving entertainment, the night pulsed with electricity. Member Ryan Niles may have had the best night of all. He was announced as the Jubilee Grand Prize winner and took home a brand new juniper red 2014 Mercedes-Benz. The Jubilee Casino, always a favorite, shined especially bright this year in its return to the Crystal Ballroom.
