A crowning moment Boeing Classic delivers "biggest win" of career W John Riegger won this year's tournament and the first-place prize of $300,000, finishing at 15-under par. He ended four shots ahead of Seattle native and local favorite Fred Couples, who finished third. It was Riegger's first Champions Tour victory. To earn it he also held off Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman and John Cook, three of the tour's best players. "This goes down as the biggest win of my career," Riegger said. The 10th annual Boeing Classic will take place in August 2014. —Darrick Meneken L u k e R u ta n ( 5 ) hen it comes to Puget Sound's biggest annual golf tournament, the WAC has been there since the beginning. The ninth annual Boeing Classic took place at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge in August, and WAC members were on hand as volunteers and spectators. All told, more than 86,000 fans attended the three-day Champions Tour event and associated tournament week activities, setting a new attendance record. Through the years, the WAC Community Partner has raised more than $4 million for charities such as the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason and The First Tee of Greater Seattle.
