Young Oliver Twist is an orphan who escapes the cheerless life of the workhouse and takes to the streets of 19th century London. He's immediately taken in by a band of street urchins, headed by a lovable villain, his fiendish henchman, and his loyal apprentice. After a high-spirited adventure and an education in the fine points of pickpocketing, Oliver inherits an unexpected treasure—a home and a family of his own. Set to a heartfelt score that includes such favorites as "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love?" "As Long As He Needs Me," and "Food, Glorious Food," Oliver! leads us on a journey in search of love, belonging, and honor among thieves. The entire show is intended to be highly improvisational, making each show different from the last. So click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts' desires. The play follows the trio on a road trip of a lifetime when they hop aboard a battered old lavender bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback. The three end up finding more than they could have ever imagined. As they head west from Sydney aboard their lavender bus, named Priscilla, they come to the forefront of comedic errors, thursday, october 3 Celebrated actor and comedian Martin Short is hitting the stage at the Paramount Theatre for a PG-rated, family friendly, one-man variety performance. Characters from throughout Short's career will be brought back to life, including Franck Eggelhoffer from Father of the Bride, Ned Nederlander of Three Amigos, and encountering a number of strange characters and incidents of homophobia that widen their comfort zones and allow them to find new horizons. An international hit, it won the 2011 Tony Award for costumes. Priscilla Queen of the Desert features a hit parade of dance floor favorites, including, "It's Raining Men," "Finally," and "I Will Survive." The Hollywood Reporter calls it "funny and fabulous! Joyous entertainment with eyepopping visuals and unexpected heart!" november 14 & 16 NEW mannheim steamroller sunday, november 24 Mannheim Steamroller continues to be on of America's favorite Christmas music artists. In 1984, the group released "Mannheim Steamroller Christmas," an album that became immensely popular. The group is known for its signature mixes of Renaissance instruments with rock-and-roll beats. The group's annual Christmas tour has become a tradition right along with decorating the tree, exchanging presents, and spending time with friends and family.
