WAC Link is fast paced and focused on getting you connected to members, professionals, and the WAC itself. WAC Link is the place to make person-to-person, business-to-business, and interestto-interest connections. It's perfect for members interested in networking with other members in their industry, or for those wanting to meet other people in the WAC community. Here's how it works. PreLink starts at 6 pm. Then get ready for SpeedLink at 6:30 pm, where you'll meet new people in three-minute link-ups. Get acquainted over light appetizers and a no-host bar on the 3rd Floor in the East Room. (Save the date for future WAC Link events on January 23 and April 21, 2014.) 6–8 pm; complimentary (no reservations necessary); members and their guests welcome showroom. We've reserved three bocce ball courts and Von Trapp's mezzanine dining level, which overlooks the courts, for this evening of Oktoberfest fun. Family-style platters will allow you to try a variety of the restaurant's signature cuisine, including housemade sausages (such as bratwurst, cheddarwurst, bockwurst and kielbasa), Bavarian meatloaf sliders, sauerkraut, spätzle, and housemade pretzels. You'll also receive coupons for two glasses of European or American wine or beer, or four beer mini-samplers. Additional beverages, including cocktails, are available on an individual pay basis. Bocce instructions will be provided. So don your lederhosen and Tyrolean hats and head for Von Trapp's to celebrate Oktoberfest the WAC way. Kick off your Halloween celebrations with an excuse to dress up (costumes encouraged, but not required). Hit the town, enjoy a libation or two, munch on some food, and watch the hilarious cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Central Cinema, dubbed Seattle's most fun movie theatre, will host this exclusive WAC night. At Seattle's only dine-in cinema, members will be treated to pre-movie appetizers and cocktails. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is part campy musical, part horror film, and details the travels of a squeaky clean couple stranded at a creepy castle where the inhabitants sing and dance through a bacchanalian Get ready to roll the dice, deal the cards, and kick off the WAC's 84th year on Friday, December 6, at our anniversary celebration. Jubilee is the Club's biggest party of the year. Members are invited to volunteer as dealers and assistants in the Jubilee Casino. Returning dealers help train new dealers to work the craps, roulette, and blackjack tables, or assist as card shufflers and runners. Training sessions are informative, fun and casual. A light buffet and beverages are included. It's a great way to meet other members, and is perfect for singles or couples. New dealers should attend all three sessions.
