It���s bright. It���s beautiful. The new 50,000-square-foot Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) at South Lake Union is full of the ���wow��� factor. Upon entering the cavernous space, you���ll be welcomed by Seattle icons, including the famous pink Toe Truck, the Rainier Brewery R, and an enormous neon outline of the first sketch of the Space Needle. Some say the original sketch was drawn on a cocktail napkin at the WAC. Four floors of educational galleries, images, models, nostalgic artifacts, mini theaters, and interactive media invite you to discover how history has shaped culture in the Pacific Northwest through times of triumph and struggle. Join us for appetizers and beverages prior to an exclusive presentation by one of MOHAI���s directors. Learn about the museum���s move from the Montlake location���the why and how, the challenges and joys, and the four million artifacts! Then, docents will lead a 30-minute highlight tour of the museum, pointing out the things you won���t want to miss. The rest of the afternoon is for you to explore family-friendly galleries and exhibits. You���ll even find a re-created set from the television show Frasier. Designing a memorable brunch menu presents an opportunity to delicately balance breakfast with lunch, creativity 5, 12, 19, 26 | WAC Toastmasters with tradition, and seasonal freshness with warm comfort. Blue Ribbon Cooking School hosts a day of education, decadence, and delightful brunch favorites. Upon arriving, you will be greeted with delicious hors d���oeuvres that include petite dill scones and caviar. The class begins by teaching basics on how to clean, store, shuck and sample oysters. No brunch gathering would be complete without cocktails, so you���ll also learn how to mix and create Bloody Balsamic Marys and Peach Thyme Bellinis. Next, it���s time to roll up your sleeves and head into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking lesson.
