Our driver will narrate Bainbridge Island history and facts as we head to the award-winning Bloedel Reserve, a public garden and forest preserve. Celebrating its 25th year, this 150acre internationally renowned reserve was created by the vice chairman of a lumber company whose vision was to provide refreshment and tranquility in the presence of natural beauty. Enjoy a docent-led stroll through the rhododendrons, bird refuge, native forest, hydrangea gardens, Japanese garden, reflection pond, moss garden, and the Bloedels former estate home. Good walking shoes are a must as we will spend two hours in the magnificent and mostly level reserve. After our walk, its off to Poulsbo (aka Little Norway) for lunch at J.J.s Fish House.
