Rediscovered by famed Seattle bartender Murray Stenson, this unique blend of equal parts gin, green Chartreuse, Maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice emerged on the scene and has been a Seattle classic ever since. Whether you turn your home into a speakeasy or enjoy one with us, cheers! THE LAST WORD 1 oz. gin 1 oz. green Chartreuse 1 oz. Luxardo Maraschino liqueur 1 oz. fresh lime juice Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. (I recommend juicing instead of muddling. Getting an ounce of fresh lime juice can sometimes take three to four limes.) As Franklin D. Roosevelt said at the end of Prohibition: "What America needs now is a drink." —Rose Andres is a bartender at Torchy's and Hagerty's. { BUZZ } COCKTAIL CORNER
