Next door to sister bar Tango, this is the place to go to expand your rum horizons. In a setting with the look and feel of 1950s Havana, you can get to know the Caribbean islands through a selection of over 400 rums. We've reserved Rumba for a private WAC educational tasting as we explore the differences in rums. Most are made from molasses, but those made from fresh-pressed and fermented sugarcane juice are richer. Sip your way through a rum flight as you learn about the history and popularity of the world's most varied spirit. You'll also sample delicious rum- forward craft drinks made with freshly squeezed juices and balanced house syrups that are flavorful, focused, and not overly sweet. The rums will be paired with tastes of the tropics from their food menu, which is designed to showcase pan-Caribbean island flavors. Come take a tropical vacation without leaving the city. Rhumba your way to Rumba! 3–5 pm; $58; cancel by April 13 N E W 83rd Annual Mother Daughter Tea: "Secret Garden" Sunday, May 1 Spring has sprung! The scent of fresh flowers wafting through the air means it is time for moms, daughters, grandmas, aunts, cousins, and friends of all ages to grace the Crystal Ballroom with their presence at the treasured Mother Daughter Tea. Our enchanted garden party will feature memory photos, tea, a delicious breakfast, and prizes. No garden party is complete without flowers, so the festivities will kick off with paper flower crafting. Afterward, take a seat and enjoy a spot of tea and breakfast. Everyone will enjoy a starter of mixed seasonal berries. Mothers and daughters over 12 will follow up with a portobello mushroom frittata served with tri-color potatoes and chicken sausage. Daughters under 12 will be served mini-pancakes, bacon, and a yogurt granola cup. All will finish with a delicious dessert. Gather the ladies in your life for this day among the flowers in the WAC's Secret Garden. 11:30 am social and photos, 12 pm tea; $42 each (mothers and daughters 12-plus), $32 each (daughters under 12); cancel by April 22 Share the Club you love!
