Letter from the President & CEO Chuck Nelson, President & Chief Executive Officer / cnelson@wac.net / @cnhuskies13 T hank you for being a member of the Washington Athletic Club! The goal for all involved is that every day you feel good about your decision to join the WAC, whether it was made last week or many years ago. When you are in the building, it should be the highlight of your day, a mini vacation you want to repeat over and over. The corner of Sixth and Union is your second home, the place you go to relax, renew and rejuvenate. Maximize your membership! Participate in Club Programs events, enjoy great theater tickets and dinner at Torchy's before the show, and check our new website for member value and great reciprocal club connections. As a WAC member, there is so much to do. Explore the many unique and special opportunities and experiences your membership in one of America's top city athletic clubs provides you. The WAC is truly a community, not just in the sense of a location and a facility. More important, it is the people who create the spirit that makes the Club special. Welcome to the many new members who have joined the WAC recently. You are encouraged to engage in the broad offerings here. Go beyond the reasons you joined and discover something new. For some tips, meet some members who joined about a year ago and find out what they have learned (see this issue's feature story on page 28). And to the full membership, please warmly greet and assist our new members as they build their community here. The WAC belongs to all of us, and we all gain from and share a responsibility to help the Club get even better. Building our community together
