THE 5TH AVENUE N E W Paint Your Wagon June 2–25 A sweeping saga of the mythic West and the pursuit of the American dream, Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon is filled with some of the greatest songs ever written for the musical stage. Boisterous numbers and rich ballads include the memorable "They Call the Wind Maria," "I Talk to the Trees," and "I Was Born Under a Wand'rin Star." Set in the rough-and-tumble world of the 1849 California gold rush, this story follows the lives and loves of the men in a mining camp who are hungry for booze, gold and women. The 5th Avenue reinvents this lusty musical with new dialogue and drama commissioned for the show. Seattle will be the first city in the world to see the new incarnation of this thrilling musical adventure.
