World Players of Handball Pro Handball Event and Instructional Clinic Saturday, September 12 Don't miss this chance to watch and learn from some of the best handball players in the world. Come watch Sean Lenning, Emmett Peixoto, Daniel Cordova, and Erik Torres compete in this WAC-hosted event—then spend a little time picking up some of their tricks of the trade. All four players will conduct instructional clinics between the semifinals and finals on Saturday afternoon. WAC members are invited to attend along with collegiate and junior handball players. Lifeguard Training Sundays: September 13–October 11 Learn the CPR/AED, water rescue, and first- aid skills necessary to become a Red Cross– certified lifeguard right here at the WAC. A swimming pretest is required to participate in the course and will be conducted at 10 am on Sunday, September 13. WAC Soccer Interested in playing soccer for the WAC? Starting this summer, the Club's first-ever coed team will participate in the Seattle Parks & Recreation league. The WAC will also be recruiting highly skilled men and women to form competitive men's and women's teams to play in the Greater Seattle Soccer League. Pumpkin Swim Saturday, October 31 9–11 am Calling all WAC families! Come swim with pumpkins in the pool. It's a WAC tradition you won't want to miss. Pumpkin Men's Basketball League Sign-ups for the WAC men's basketball league are open now through Monday, September 7. Games take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights during winter in the 8th Floor gym. Teams for new and returning players are all determined by draft in mid–September. League includes 14 regular season games, playoffs, and a postseason banquet. Divisions: A, B, C, 40-plus, 50-plus.
