With the help of Rolfing, you can improve your performance in professional and daily activities. Rolfing practitioner Sara Bayer uses mild and direct pressure to release holdings of fascia—the body's internal system of flexible support that surrounds every muscle fiber, encases all joints, and plays a role in the nervous system. The function of muscle fascia is to reduce friction and thereby minimize the loss of muscular force. Studies show that Rolfing engenders more efficient use of muscles, allows the body to conserve energy, creates more refined patterns of movement, improves alignment, and enhances neurological function.
