CLUB PROGRAMS 206.464.3060 • clubprograms@wac.net Desilu Playhouse studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-sofamiliar I Love Lucy episodes. A charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process of this brand new thing called "television." The Crystaltone Singers perform advertising jingles in perfect 50s style harmony and the sidesplitting antics of America's favorite foursome: Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel. It's a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience TV Guide's William Keck calls "the most entertaining stage production I've seen in years— including Broadway!" Thursday, April 10; 7:30 pm; $50 Saturday, April 19; 2 pm; $55 Seattle Rock Orchestra: The Beatles' The White Album at the Moore Theatre NEW Little Shop of Horrors at ACT Theatre March 8–June 15 Saturday, May 10 This co-production of The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT is a delightfully demented comedy of hapless lovers, Seymour and Audrey, and a most unusual plant. The campy musical is based on the 1960s cult film, and blends doo-wop, rock, and Motown into a hilarious send-up of B-movie horror flicks. Seymour is a florist's clerk, who buys and nourishes a Venus flytrap-like plant, which he names after his beloved co-worker Audrey. Things start to get out of hand when the plant develops an insatiable appetite for human flesh. The memorable score includes the title song plus, "Skid Row (Downtown)," "Somewhere That's Green," "Dentist!" and "Suddenly, Seymour." Thursday, April 24; 8 pm Thursday, May 15; 8 pm Friday, May 23; 8 pm Sunday, May 25; 2 pm $75–$80; other performances may be available upon request deep down in the sub-basement and work our way up, discovering all eight staircases. You will see the WAC carpentry, paint and engineer shops, the 5th Floor pump room for Helene Madison Pool, along with the infamous penthouse, the former sundeck and tennis court on the roof, and other surprises along the way. Come join us for this opportunity to see the WAC through Bill's eyes. Afterward, join us in the Elliot Bay Suite for hosted wine, soft drinks, and light appetizers. Pacific Northwest Ballet presents The Sleeping Beauty at McCaw Hall Sunday, February 9 Seattle Rock Orchestra was born out of the desire to marry the unabashed performance energy of rock 'n' roll with the broader palette of musical nuances treasured in classical music. Founded by bassist Scott Teske, Seattle Rock Orchestra started modestly in 2008, performing its first show as a 13-piece string orchestra, and flourishing into a 50-plus piece orchestra with strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, choir and a rotating cast of guest vocalists entertaining sold out crowds. After putting its own spin on Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Stevie Wonder, Seattle Rock Orchestra will explore The Beatles' discography, paying tribute to what was at the time the band's most eclectic and expansive offering to date.
