Located across from Pier 57, Copperworks produces its own whiskey, gin and vodka. Each of its specialties starts with a wellfermented malted barley beer. To understand the process, Parker has created a hands-on event just for the WAC to participate in distilling and barreling whiskey. You'll have the opportunity to taste all aspects of the production process, including beer, low wines (the first half of whiskey production), new make (the whiskey before proofing), proofed whiskey (whiskey ready to barrel), and some barrel tastings of whiskey that's along its journey to becoming bottled whiskey. In addition, you may sample their vodka and gin in the tasting room while enjoying dinner from Seattle's food truck Nosh. Nosh, recently featured in Thrillist's list of Top Seattle Food Trucks, serves traditional English fare, such as British fish and chips, meatloaf sandwiches, and fried confit rabbit. Nosh will also provide gourmet appetizers upon arrival and sweets with dinner. Attire is casual dress (you may get a little wet) and sturdy shoes (no heels). This unique and exclusive experience is limited to 20 people, so reserve today! 6–8:30 pm; $48; cancel by March 6 connections. WAC Link is easy, non-threatening, fun, and a great way to get introduced or reintroduced to members and happenings at the Club. The night begins with PreLink, starting at 6 pm, giving everyone a chance to arrive, grab a beverage, enjoy appetizers, and get ready for SpeedLink at 6:30 pm. During SpeedLink, you'll meet a number of people in three-minute link-ups to chat and get to know one another. wac Everyone gets the same starter question, then you'll take the conversation from there. After ™ SpeedLink there's an all-play group activity that culminates in a great WAC-themed prize. We'll see you in Hagerty's Clubroom for an evening of appetizers, socializing and networking. To receive WAC Link updates and reminders, email clubprograms@wac.net and write "Link List" in the subject line.
