IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS, FAMILY OR COLLEAGUES YOU FEEL WOULD BENEFIT FROM WAC MEMBERSHIP, please contact Member Services at 206.464.3068 or membership@wac.net to arrange a tour. { CAL McALLISTER } Member since 2013 B etween being a father of two and heading a successful ad agency, Cal McAllister was looking for a place to meet up with friends in his few moments of spare time. After visiting the WAC for a couple of luncheons with Phil, Cal felt right at home. He also thought it would be terrific to join a club that offered fitness and social outlets under one roof, and he noticed how engaged members were. "I am just getting to know people, but I'm really impressed with how involved people get and how invested they are when they are here at the WAC," he says. Cal, who co-founded Wexley School for Girls and writes for Inc. magazine, says that during and after his first few visits to the Club, it became clear to him that the building inspires a special type of engagement. "What I like about the WAC is that people are excited," he says. "There is a great energy here, whether people are training, or playing in leagues, or at an event." Since joining the WAC, Cal has brought his family to the Pumpkin Swim and GingerMania—where his two daughters had a great time. Cal and Phil's friendship also has grown. They continue to attend Husky games together, recently went to the college football national championship game, and often meet at Hagerty's or Torchy's. "I can always count on Phil to invite me to a game or go with me to one," Cal says. "I couldn't have a better ambassador to show me around the WAC."
