WINTER / SPRING 2024 45 The heart of downtown With a Clubhouse that's smack dab in the heart of downtown Seattle, the WAC is a desired destination for members and sponsored guests alike to host all manner of gatherings. WAC member William Waldo helped his father, Jim Waldo, celebrate his 75th birthday with 30 friends, colleagues, and family members in the Johnson Lobby Lounge on a Sunday aernoon in October. Knowing Jim has been com- ing to the Club since he was a boy, Jim's partner, Connie Miller, worked with Jen- nifer to plan the event. "We were happy we could celebrate Jim at a place he and his family hold dear," Connie says.
