Everyone's body is different. is is why working one- on-one with one of our skilled and certified personal trainers is a great place to start. "Older adults are generally more likely to maintain their fitness programs with the assistance of a trainer," WAC Personal Training Supervisor Michelle Payne says. "Personalized guidance from a trainer allows clients to follow a plan tailored to their body, age, and fitness level." For husband-and-wife members Dave Carlson and Vicki O'Briant, working out with Michelle in Coed Fitness has become the backbone of their wellness program. "Michelle makes the work fun," Dave says. "Sure, sometimes I'm sweating and grunt- ing—and maybe swearing—but aerward, I'm always glad I did the work." e couple has been training with Mi- chelle for the past two years, and Vicki says it has allowed them both to enjoy more of what they love—hiking, cycling, skiing, and traveling together! "A strategic goal of mine was to keep fit enough as I get older to do the activities Dave and I enjoy now, as well as be ready for new adventures," Vicki says.
