I want to thank Jennifer Porto for her excellence in all those areas. She served with an unmatched enthusiasm and appreciation for the duties and honor of being Chairman. We welcome Roger Wylie to the Club's top member leader position. Roger brings a broad and thoughtful acumen to the role, and I have no doubt that he will meet all the challenges the year will undoubtedly bring and enjoy the many successes we look forward to, as well. While we have successfully weathered the pandemic and are excited about the great mo- mentum the Club has, there are still hills to climb. As the membership has returned and activity levels at the Club have been happily rising—and we are excited about the path the WAC is on— recent data shows that Seattle has had one of the highest inflation rates in the country over the past three years. is is reflected in the Club's operating expenses. e costs to attract and retain additional staff and build back our wonderful team—and maintain the high standards of care and service that the membership desires and our Platinum Club status verifies—are steep. e WAC is a special place. at is why we are all here, you as members and those of us who are fortunate enough to work here. Club management and member leaders are committed to continue to create and provide high-level member experiences every day, efficiently, in every area of the Clubhouse. Forward we go! @cnhuskies13 Chuck Nelson President & CEO cnelson@wac.net CLUB DUES Our annual dues adjustment takes place each August. This year's increase reflects Seattle's spikes in wage and operating costs during the post-COVID rebuild and will allow the Club to catch up and nor- malize our revenues and expenses and continue to make impactful capital invest- ments.
