WAC Foundation | Member biography | By the Numbers | Members in Motion 10 WAC Magazine | wac.net The WAC Foundation donor wall offers thanks to those taking their support of the Club to the next level. u Installation of the lobby's new Washing- ton Athletic Club Foundation donor wall has begun. e wall honors the nearly 200 donors who have contributed to the WAC Foundation thus far. WAC mem- bers may make tax-deductible donations to the Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose sole purpose is to preserve and enhance the WAC Clubhouse. e orig- inal Clubhouse building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. "It's great to see the donor wall coming into being," WAC Foundation President Tammy Young says. "We want to acknowledge the donors who have given back to the Club. Members who pledge and complete a donation of $10,000 or more will be honored on the donor wall, which will feature name plaques and a beautiful rendering of the historic Clubhouse. "e Foundation is a great way to invest in the Club and realize the bene- fits of your donation," WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson says. "Being almost 100 years old is some- thing we're really proud of," Chuck says. "It also comes with a certain amount of work to make sure our building is ready for its next century—inside and out."
