We initially joined for the convenience of a close workout. Soon, the WAC became a central part of our lives, especially as our kids started swimming, learning basketball and gymnastics, and begging for hot dogs or pizza from the 8th Floor WAC Café. e WAC remains central to our family because of its great events and, importantly, the relationships we have built here. I am grateful for the leadership of Immediate Past Chairman Jennifer Porto, who has been a great mentor and friend over the past year. Jen led with a constant and consistent "thank you" to our wonderful WAC team members, and I hope to continue that legacy. Let me start now with a thank you to WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson. Under Chuck's lead- ership, the WAC continues to be an industry leader. He and his team make the Washington Athletic Club a special place for all of us. I am honored and humbled to serve as Chairman for the 2023–2024 term. e WAC has a strong tradition and history, and we are growing and adapting to an ever-changing downtown Seattle. Many of my traveling friends stay at the WAC and have become repeat customers and raving fans—just like all of us. With many WAC members in hybrid work environments, the Club is now the center of our downtown lives as well as a destination for events, workouts, fostering existing relationships, and making new friends. I am excited about the coming year and look forward to seeing you at the Club! Roger Wylie Chairman of the Board of Governors rwylie@wac.net
