26 WAC Magazine | wac.net living fit tri club Reintroducing the WAC Tri Club Since TN Multisports founder Teresa Webb and husband Mark Webb joined the WAC's ranks as triathlon coaches last spring, they've been helping mem- bers improve their performance or get started in the run-bike-swim scene. ey've also helped re-brand the WAC Tri Club (formerly the Tri/Cycle Club) to re-emphasize what the club has been doing since its 2008 inception—serving as WAC members' go-to resource for all things run, bike, and swim. "For beginners, or even members that are brand new to triathlons, we can guide them in getting started," Teresa says. "And for members who have been at it for years, we're here for them, too. We're just one big community, and we're all here to support each other and guide each other through all stages of the sport." at sense of community is some- thing Teresa and Mark foster at Tri Club Socials as well as team workouts. Mark encourages anyone who is tri-curious to pop into one of the club's socials. "ey're a nice way to get to know more of the WAC community," he says. "We get a lot of people in the same room asking questions and engaging. ey're a great opportunity to introduce people to the club and get to know our existing members." Carol Coram, a founding member of the Tri Club, speaks highly of Teresa and Mark's efforts to create a supportive atmosphere on and off the racecourse. "ey have a lot of great things going on," she says. "It's not just swimming, cycling, and biking. It's things like nutri- tion and all the other things that go into coaching a successful athlete." Mark and Teresa offer their coaching expertise to all WAC members with a goal of improving their performance in any triathlon discipline. "What Mark and I pride ourselves on is meeting people wherever they're at in their journey as an athlete," Teresa says. eir coaching services include daily workouts, nutrition guidelines, access to camps and clinics, and more. SEAFAIR TRIATHLON Affectionately referred to as "Seattle's only triathlon," this year's Seafair Triathlon makes its return to Seward Park on Sunday, July 23, after two years at Lake Sammamish State Park. SUMMER WORKOUTS Stay in shape this summer and train for upcoming races with the WAC Tri Club!
