22 WAC Magazine | wac.net club life Family Matters Family Matters Ashley Rossman Chris Rossman Hunter, age 9; Carter, age 7; Weston, age 2 Seattle natives Ashley and Chris Rossman joined the WAC in 2013. What began as a place where Ashley and Chris hung out on Fridays and hosted work meetings soon became much more. "As our family grew, I decided to quit working and stay home with the kids, and our use of the Club shied," Ashley says. As the WAC turned into a hub of Rossman family life, Ashley joined the Family Activities Committee. "I love helping plan all the family events and meeting such amazing parents through that committee," she says. It's apparent the Rossman family knows how to have a good time. Chris enjoys e Main Event and watching sports in Hagerty's. e couple also attends Jubilee and has hosted their own holiday parties at the Top of the WAC. Plus, there's family holiday traditions. "We always make a day out of photos with Santa and Le Petite Nutcracker with the kids before finishing with lunch at the WAC Café," Ashley says. Another Rossman family favorite is watching shows at the historic 5th Avenue and Paramount theaters with tickets from Club Programs. "e WAC gets amazing seats to all these shows," Ashley says. "Buying tickets through Club Programs is the best deal in town." Jonathon Zetlmaier Megan Zetlmaier Evan, age 9 Jonathon Zetlmaier initially joined the WAC in 2013 on an individual membership for midday fitness classes, but the Club quickly became a family affair. "As time went on, I ended up spending more time in Hagerty's and the sauna than in fitness classes," he says. Jon and Evan developed a father-son tradition of post-swim weekend brunches at Torchy's while Megan began hosting client lunches and participating in family events with the guys. "We do as many of the family activities as we can, like building gingerbread houses, photos with Santa, and Mother Son and Father Son dinners," she says. A couple of memories stand out most for Jon. "Evan was so excited to attend Pumpkin Swim one year that we arrived way too early and got to help throw pumpkins in the pool," he says. e second memory happened during Santa photos. Santa was taking a break in the lobby when some teenagers joined him. Santa asked them if they believed in him before doing a magic trick to 'prove' he was real. "Evan was on the cusp of believing at the time, so his mind was blown," Jon says. "Aer that, Evan really thought he saw the real Santa at the WAC that year!"
