Seamus will delve into the powerful potential of leveraging rudimentary technological solutions to make the world a better place. This engaging discussion aims to challenge the conventional focus on personal wealth and illuminate pathways to social impact through accessible tech. Come prepared to connect, learn, and be inspired by the possibilities of "tech for good." We'll save time afterward to network and enjoy the view. Wednesday, 5:30–7 pm; $15 members, $18 guests. Cinema Club: The Thomas Crown Affair AUGUST 6 Join the Cinema Club for an evening of sophisticated suspense with The Thomas Crown Affair, directed by action maestro John McTiernan. Plan ahead for the holidays! Discover Seattle: Aloha on the Waterfront AUGUST 7 Get ready for a beautiful evening on Seattle's waterfront! Join us for a captivating showcase of Hawaiian music, hula, and culture at Pier 62. Immerse yourself in the spirit of aloha with a two-hour concert and dance performance. Food carts will be available, or feel free to bring your own picnic. Thursday; 5:45–8 pm; complimentary & no-host; cancel by August 2. Bridges & Brews Cruise AUGUST 7 Are you a history buff or just like to enjoy brews and a good cruise? You'll get both during our Bridges & Brews Cruise, where we'll learn about the history of Seattle's four 100-year-old bascule bridges and travel underneath them to get a unique perspective. We'll begin at Fishermen's Terminal and travel under the Ballard, Fremont, University, and Montlake bridges on Lake Union. Thursday; 6–8 pm; $65 members, $78 guests. WAC Day at Ichiro's No. 51 Retirement Game AUGUST 9 Join us at T-Mobile Park as we celebrate WAC Day and witness history in the making. Watch as Ichiro Suzuki's legendary No. 51 is retired by the Seattle Mariners. We're bringing the WAC community together for a day filled with baseball, camaraderie, and an unforgettable tribute to one of Seattle's all-time greats.
