WAC ARTIFACT
Hitting the greens
is pocket-sized greenskeeper was a perfect tool for early
WAC golfers. A two-pronged blade engineered to fix ball
marks helped keep putting surfaces playable while also
offering an easy way to clean muddy spikes on rain-soaked
courses. e Zippo–brand multi-tool also came complete
with two ball markers, making it easy to pick up those tap-
ins. e dime-sized tokens were easily replaced by 10-cent
coins if lost. Golf has long been a part of WAC life, with the
hardiest of members playing at local courses year-round. No
matter the season, keeping the greens beautiful never goes
out of style.
