Enriching each other e stated mission of the Washington Athletic Club is "to enrich the quality of life of our members." It is the core of why we are here, what we strive for each day, and why we believe it is of great benefit for people to become WAC members. It drives the questions we ask ourselves as we evolve your club. Be it physical improvements to the Clubhouse, new fitness programs and facilities, creating wonderful Club Programs events, or the constantly changing specials in Torchy's and Hagerty's … the goal is always to best serve the mission and the members. e mission statement is purposely broad, matching the ways in which the WAC can honor it. e greatness of the Club is in its ability to provide positives across all areas of your life—to be a strong hub for your fitness, social, and professional lives. We hope you feel the same way and take advantage of the Club's complete range of offerings. You are encouraged to try something new, to visit an area or partake of a service you haven't tried before, to attend an event that's new to you. We have award-winning areas all over the Clubhouse! ese broad offerings are highlighted in this edition of the (award-winning) WAC Magazine. Athletic offerings for everyone from youngsters to active members nearing and well past retirement; social events for families, young adults, and members of all ages; aer-school study and free time for kids; clubs within the Club for all sorts of interests, from knitters to wine-lovers (yes, you can be both!); and much more. e WAC is many things to many people, and we have one goal—to make your life better! Tell your friends and colleagues, bring them in as guests, and then sponsor them as new members. Together we can build an even better WAC! @cnhuskies13 Chuck Nelson President & CEO cnelson@wac.net
