The Foundation is a member-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose sole purpose is to preserve and enhance the WAC Clubhouse, a National Historic Landmark. The Foundation invests all donations into Clubhouse improvement projects, delivering funding that would otherwise come from the Club's operating budget. $707,000 raised as of press time. Boeing Classic WAC members receive complimentary admission to PGA Tour Champions event Watch some of golf 's best professionals compete in 54 holes of action at the annual Boeing Classic golf tournament, set for Friday–Sunday, August 12–14, at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. As in past years, WAC members enjoy complimentary tournament admission when they present their WAC membership card. e Boeing Classic is a PGA Tour Champions event and features some of the game's best 50-and-older-players. Golfers scheduled to play this year's tournament include Seattle native and former World No. 1 Fred Couples. Also on the early entry list are two-time Masters champion and 2016 Boeing Classic winner Bernhard Langer and World Golf Hall of Famer and 1997 PGA Championship victor Davis Love III. Last year's Boeing Classic winner, Australia's boeingclassic.com e project will also uncover historic windows and shed new light into the space. In addition, a doorway into the Voogd Library will allow easier access to a member-favorite reading room that has been difficult to access during private events in the Johnson Lobby Lounge. e library's wood-paneled charm makes it the perfect place for members to read and relax. Retail sales will move to the new Club Shop, which will continue to carry a selection of WAC-branded gear and other apparel. During the project, mem- bers can visit the 6th Floor Club Shop for apparel, the 8th Floor WAC Café for casual dining, and the Inn at the WAC front desk for sundries. Renovation of the new lobby-level spaces is scheduled for completion in early fall. wac.net/how-to-donate u The Boeing Classic offers fantastic views and the region's best golf of the summer. Rod Pampling, took home $315,000 with his first PGA Tour Champions victory. Other events during Boeing Classic week include the Seahawks Rumble at the Ridge, featuring several former pro athletes; the Korean Air Pro-Am; and the Boeing Jet Flyover. e Boeing Classic is a WAC Community Partner and raises funds for Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason.
