Club improvements | New vice president | Seafair Triathlon | Rugby awards 8 WAC Magazine | wac.net Historic windows above Sixth Avenue will be a highlight of the new coffee shop and drop-in workspace on the lobby level. u Work on the lobby-level Club Shop renovation is set to begin in late May and carry through summer. e project marks the first major Clubhouse update to be supported by the Washington Athletic Club Foundation. When finished in October, the space currently housing the Club Shop will be transformed into a coffee shop with drop-in workspace and a private meeting room. As part of the project, historic boarded-over windows will be uncovered, allowing natural light into the space for the first time in 30 years. Club improvements New vice president Seafair Triathlon Rugby awards e project will also connect the new coffee shop with the historic Voogd Library, providing easier access to a much-loved reading room. e WAC is working with architecture firm Skidmore Janette and contractor Nielsen Commercial on the project. Skidmore Janette has worked on notable Seattle projects such as Life on Mars and El Gaucho's flagship steakhouse in the historic Union Stables building.
