APRIL / MAY / JUNE 2022 43 APRIL 06 6th Annual Seattle International Film Festival Preview N It's spring, and that means the special WAC preview of the 2022 Seattle International Film Festival. This year's 14-day festival offers a hybrid experience, with films screened at SIFF theaters and venues throughout the city as well as virtually on The SIFF Channel. Set for April 14–24, the festival will present international and independent films from around the globe. SIFF's Artistic Director Beth Barrett returns to the WAC to give us a private sneak peek of some of this year's featured films. Learn about the nominees and view trailers from select films. On the Underground Donut Tour, you'll experience four of the city's unique donut shops. Starting in Belltown and working our way toward Pike Place Market, we'll talk about the history of each donut shop and its surrounding area. You'll be able to taste some of the most interesting flavors, created by professionally trained pastry chefs, as well as some of the freshest beignets you've ever had. We'll finish the tour at Pike Place Market, where you can skip the line at one of its most popular donut attractions—Daily Dozen Doughnut Co. N Kick off your Saturday night with your WAC friends during a retro-style roller skating night at Southgate Roller Rink. Did you know that there used to be a parking garage and a bowling alley inside the Club? Join legendary WAC Engineer Bill Rawe for a detailed tour that will answer these questions and more! You'll discover back staircases, the wine cellar, chiller room, dog kennels, and more. Tour includes light appetizers and a beverage.
